WORKSHOPS

Morning Workshop

Worship Team Masterclass // Mike O’Brien

Music is more than just playing the right chords and beats. There is so much going on behind each instrument; this is a chance to explore what each element contributes. Worship Team Masterclass is a fast-paced class to help you reimagine and find the joy of producing music together as a worship team. In real time, using real instruments, we will break down a song to its essentials and build it back up. Come ready to explore each instrument's role, including specific vocal work. Everyone in your worship team will benefit from this class!

Afternoon Workshops (Choose One)

Sound Essentials for All // Bobby Spangler

Have you ever wondered what all those knobs do on the soundboard? Have you achieved good sound but want GREAT SOUND? This class is for new AND experienced sound techs. If you’ve always wanted to know how to make your voice or instrument sound better, this class is for you! A sound tech’s ability to understand and refine the signal path of each instrument will provide the foundation for an excellent mix. No amount of sound reinforcement will overcome poor musicianship or musical chemistry. Still, a sound tech with the kind command of the stage signal flow will ultimately be able to serve the band and congregation better.

Song Sprint // Casey Corum & Geno Olison

Casey will share worship songwriting basics gained from over 30 years of experience. The second half of the class will be a hands-on opportunity to go and write a song together.

Emotionally Healthy Worship Leadership // Melisa Keller

What is Emotional Intelligence (EQ), and why is it important? EQ can be broken down into our ability to be self-aware, self-manage/regulate, self-motivated, and our ability to be empathetic, and relational. Emotional Intelligence, and our ability to draw on it as a reserve, helps us in many ways: from looking after our physical and mental health and well-being to our ability to inspire and lead. Join me as we dig down into more of this important concept.

How To Gospelize Your Sound // Alan Franklin

Alan Franklin will give you four simple strategies to enhance your worship sound. This is a “Hands-On” class for all instruments.

WORSHIP CIRCLE

Bring your instrument and your voice, and join us! All are welcome to participate acoustically in our afternoon worship circle. Chord charts will be provided for easy reference, and the songs and arrangements will be simple to follow. Whether you're a seasoned musician or a beginner, you only need your instrument and voice to join our worship circle. So come, join us, and let's worship together.
