Workshops: Valuable Training for Teams and Individuals
At the Vineyard Sing Together Weekend, our workshops are designed to provide practical, hands-on training for worship leaders, musicians, and teams of all sizes. Whether you’re looking to sharpen your skills, grow in your leadership, or deepen your understanding of worship, these sessions will equip and inspire you. Here are a list of our current options for this event!

Worship Leader Masterclass // Instructor: Mike O’Brien
Worship leading is about more than just playing songs—it’s about helping people connect with God and giving the congregation a voice. In this class, we’ll explore what it means to lead with confidence, create welcoming spaces, and keep the focus on Jesus. We’ll dive into practical tips and biblical insights from 1 Timothy 4 to help you become a non-anxious presence, a thoughtful host, and a guide who leads with purpose. If you’re ready to move past the hype and lead worship that truly helps your people, this class is for you. Come prepared to lead a song—if you’re willing to be the brave student example!

Nashville Numbers (Your Guide to Better Music Making) // Instructor: Isaac Boamah Jr.
Give me a 1, then a 2, and then a flat 5? If you don’t know numbers, this workshop is for you! Unlock a new level of musical freedom by shifting from traditional lettered notes to the Nashville Number System—a powerful and intuitive way to think and communicate musically. In this engaging and accessible session, you'll discover the fundamentals of this shorthand method, designed to enhance your ability to play both solo and with a band. Whether you’re a seasoned musician or just starting out, this is the music theory class you've been waiting for!

How To Talk To Your Drummer // Instructor: Matt Nall
This class equips worship leaders with essential drumming knowledge, covering terminology, dynamics, and playing techniques to enhance communication with drummers. Practical tips, such as the dynamic stick height system, lingo shortcuts, and other simple techniques are provided to foster collaboration with drummers of all skill levels.

Ask a Sound Pro Anything // Instructor: Bobby Spangler
We could also call this class “Ask Bobby Anything!” Do you have a sound problem or want some quick and dirty tips? Whether you're a complete novice or a seasoned pro, you’ll walk away with valuable insights. Bobby is a world-class tech who understands the unique challenges of small churches and knows how to solve them. Are there any live stream audio issues? Compressor questions? Wondering why your livestream sounds like trash or how to mix a bass guitar just right? This class is all about you and your questions. Bring it on—Mr. Spangler is ready to help you level up your sound game!

Song Sprint // Instructor: Casey Corum
Casey will share worship songwriting basics gained from over 30 years of experience. The second half of the class will be a hands-on opportunity to write a song together.

The Balance Between Family, Ministry, Music & Life: Does it Really Exist?  // Instructors: Daniel and Nicole Hernandez (morning only)
Daniel and Nicole will share how shifting their perspective on the balance between family, ministry, and music has helped them continue growing—both individually and together—through 16 years of marriage.

Emotionally Healthy Worship Leadership // Instructor: Melisa Keller
What is Emotional Intelligence (EQ), and why is it important? EQ can be broken down into our ability to be self-aware, self-manage/regulate, self-motivated, and empathetic and relational. Emotional Intelligence and our ability to draw on it as a reserve helps us in many ways,  from looking after our physical and mental health and well-being to our ability to inspire and lead. Join me as we dig down into more of this important concept.
